BIANNUAL CARIBBEAN NEWSLETTER

Mixer trucks at Argos Suriname

Let's get up to date!

What a pleasure to be back in close contact with you! This first semester has been full of many challenges and learning, but above all, great achievements. Every step we take is possible thanks to the commitment, dedication, and passion that each of you puts into what you do.

I would like to take this opportunity to announce that I will share this newsletter every semester and that the Caribbean Webinar will be held once a year. We’ll share more details soon through our media and internal channels.

I’d like to begin by sharing the outstanding financial results of the region during this period:

We closed the first half of the year with an accumulated ebitda of USD $13.4 billion, representing 11% growth compared to the same period last year and nearly 30% above projections.

The Dominican Republic achieved an outstanding performance of 113%, driven mainly by strategic projects and productivity improvements. Puerto Rico achieved a solid 105% thanks to a stable and focused operation. French Guiana achieved 102%, reflecting its focus on efficiency and teamwork. Haiti continues to demonstrate its resilience and ability to adapt to the model that has been implemented with 101%. Even with current market challenges, Suriname achieved 100%. The Antilles closed with 93%, demonstrating its growth potential.

Regarding organizational structure, I would like to “double-click” on the recent developments in the Caribbean General Management:

Jesus Viñas assumes, as of July, the leadership of the aggregates platform in the Dominican Republic, reporting to the Central America Regional management. Ricardo Hollander, currently director in French Guiana, will also lead Argos Suriname. Jorge Perez, director of operations in the Dominican Republic, will also manage Haiti.

In Health and Safety, the progress we’ve made is remarkable: on a consolidated basis, we reduced total injuries by 57% compared to the first quarter of the previous year. Even better, we had no disabling injuries. I invite you to keep our guard up and continually reinforce our safe behaviors by exercising visible and genuine leadership so that together, we can continue to achieve more Green Days.

During these months we reaffirmed our commitment to ethics, transparency and integrity. We made progress on three key issues:

  • In competition, we provide training to key teams to help strengthen their understanding of fraud cases, anti-competitive practices, and the prevention of misconduct.
  • In due diligence, we adapted tools to the Caribbean context to make safer decisions when entering into a contractual relationship with partners.
  • In conflicts of interest, we continue fostering a culture of open conversation in which identifying and reporting is not a mistake, but an act of commitment to our principles.

Finally, we’ve taken a concrete step towards our vision of being a healing organization. Key examples include: the identification of health risks, establishing operational subcommittees, developing programs for medical follow-ups, incorporating technologies to manage risks, and including holistic health topics in our training programs.

Hermes, the evolution of Argos ONE and the commitment to maximize the customer experience

For almost three decades we have been enablers of the construction of housing and infrastructure dreams in the Dominican Republic.

Now we are taking another step forward with the implementation of the Hermes project, which seeks to digitally evolve the current Argos ONE platform. This new platform will optimize our customers’ experience, order management, logistics and internal operations in order to strengthen our ability to meet their needs and offer solutions that generate value.

How will we do it?

Through two modules:

  • OMS (Order Management System) module: Simplifies and accelerates the cement ordering process, which means greater efficiency and control.
  • TMS (Transportation Management System) Module: Optimizes product delivery and guarantees faster times and greater reliability.

Who is part of this project?

  • Argos Dominicana teams: Commercial and Marketing, Change Management, Technology and Shipping.
  • Corporate team Digital and Analytical Laboratory (DnA).
  • Summa’s TMS development team.

This means…

  • Improving the customer experience
  • Increased operating efficiency
  • More tracking and visibility

Haiti, Dominican Republic and Suriname's General Assemblies: How we lived it

Haiti

On February 14th, CINA’s Shareholders’ Assembly was held, with the participation of representatives of the Haitian State, Cementos Argos, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti and the members of the Board of Directors.

Relevant items:

  • The financial statements corresponding to the 2024 fiscal year were approved.
  • The management report of the administration was presented and approved.
  • We analyzed the perspectives of the company, taking into account the current situation of the country.
  • We addressed the insecurity that prevents the plant from operating at present.
  • We reaffirmed our commitment to continue serving the Haitian market through CINA, evaluating different operating alternatives.

Suriname

On May 29th, the General Assembly was held in Suriname, a space in which we shared progress, challenges and perspectives for the remainder of the year. During the meeting, we addressed priority issues such as safety, human talent, market evolution, operational performance, financial results and the panorama for the rest of 2025.

Dominican Republic

In the Dominican Republic, the meeting was an opportunity to share an update on progress in terms of: management reports from all areas, cumulative sales for the year, the status of ongoing projects and ebitda performance.

In French Guiana, leaving a mark on the community represents a bond that transcends concrete

At Argos French Guiana, we enthusiastically celebrated Carnival 2025, one of the longest and most diverse in the world, and participated in the open house at the Rémire fire station, which brought together more than 2,000 attendees. In addition, with the “Brand Wall” operation, we delivered 2,000 T-shirts to the community and strengthened our connection with technical training by providing equipment to the Lycée Jean-Marie Michotte, where students practice maintenance on real engines and access new internship opportunities.

We are Caribbean, we are Green Light

In Puerto Rico, we dressed up in flowers... and we truly bloomed!

Our traditional all-purpose cement bag became a commemorative piece to highlight diversity and inclusion as a competitive advantage for our business. More than a design, it is a disruptive statement that seeks to raise awareness, inspire and generate valuable conversations inside and outside our organization.
