¡HOW PROUD WE ARE! OUR GREEN LIGHT LANDS AT SAINT THOMAS CYRIL E. KING AIRPORT
We continue to be leaders in infrastructure projects relevant to our territories. This time, we were chosen as a key supplier in the construction of a parking lot building, which is part of the expansion plan for the Cyril E. King Airport in Saint Thomas.
We began the first phase with an initial investment of $32 million. It includes 311 public-use cells, 177 for car rentals, and 28 for cabs. This promises to transform the experience of more than 750,000 travelers a year and boost tourism on the island.
We supplied a concrete mix that includes “Slag” cement and Type I/II cement to execute the work, an innovative solution that improves sustainability, prolongs the life of the structures in front of challenging conditions such as sea salt, and reduces the carbon footprint .
We take construction to a new level!
To date, through our partner Universal Concrete, we have delivered 5,142 cubic yards of concrete composed of the following cementitious materials:
Portland cement: 468 pounds per cubic yard of concrete
Slag: 201 pounds per cubic yard of concrete.
We could cover the surface area of up to 3 soccer stadiums with this same amount of concrete!
These quantities have generated over USD 560,000 in revenue for our Antilles operation, resulting in a positive financial impact and reinforcing our company’s value in providing sustainable, high-quality products for future significant infrastructure initiatives.
OUR CEMENT WAS USED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE TALLEST BUILDING IN THE DUTCH CARIBBEAN
In Mullet Bay, Sint Maarten, we made our mark on the heights with the construction of Fourteen Towers, two 20-story towering buildings, each of which will transform tourism on the island.
We are proud to have been chosen to provide our technical experience and supply the cement required for the project. We supplied 5,000 m3 of cementitious material per tower, a material that stands out for its strength, durability, and high quality.
The condominium features modern one-, two–, and three-bedroom residences surrounded by Caribbean landscapes and amenities such as an Olympic-size swimming pool, gym, 24/7 security, and more.
This is not just a construction project; it is a step towards a sustainable and innovative future in the Caribbean!
