Our team recently visited the construction site of Goodwill Secondary School in Dominica where our cement is being used. It’s always exciting to see our products in action!
The school, severely damaged by Hurricane Maria in 2017, is being rebuilt under the China Aid Project. Upon completion, it will become a Center of Excellence for Technical Vocational Education and Training, featuring facilities for various technical subjects, arts, and sciences. Other amenities include counseling rooms, a library, science labs, an auditorium, and more.

We recently participated in the Green Cement and Concrete Congress 2050, organized by FICEM. This key event in Latin America and the Caribbean focuses on achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Our team gave two insightful presentations. Édgar Peñaloza discussed the findings from the FICEM ACV and EPDs Subcommittee, while Armando Arias showcased our automated Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) software. This software streamlines data management and supports our carbon neutrality goals. Tatiana Medina emphasized the importance of these events for advancing sustainability in the cement industry.
Together, we’re committed to a sustainable future!

The Airport parking garage project is a significant milestone in St. Thomas’ transportation development. After over 30 years without expansion, Cyril E. King Airport will finally meet the demands of the growing population and increasing travel needs.
The current parking facilities were inadequate for the rising number of passengers and employees.
This project provides a solution for local travelers, whether its inter-island hops to St. Croix or trips to the mainland and Puerto Rico. It not only eases roadside congestion but also marks the first step in the airport’s expansion plans, paving the way for more flights.
We are proud to be a part of this impactful project!

Argos Dominica is proud to support our community by donating to CHANCES, an organization dedicated to helping children who face significant challenges and hardships. After meeting with their team and reviewing their needs, we provided a fridge, freezer, and surge plug to assist with their everyday operations.
CHANCES expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting that our contribution highlights the impact of community support and the importance of coming together to help those in need. We’re honored to partner with such a dedicated organization and hope that our donations will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these incredible children.
Argos is committed to giving back and making a positive impact, and we are grateful to be part of a community that values and supports the wellbeing of its youngest members. We look forward to continuing our efforts to assist and uplift the children at CHANCES

We had the perfect view of the Icon of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship, and we caught it from the renovated silos of our Sint Marteen operation. This massive vessel can accommodate approximately 5,610 passengers and 2,350 crew members, stretching 1,200 feet in length and weighing in at 250,800 tonnes.

Our cement played a key role in constructing Antigua’s first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) power plant. This groundbreaking project is not only a milestone for Antigua but also for the entire Caribbean. This project will power a 40 MW LNG Power Plant in Antigua and will significantly enhance the island’s electrical grid, providing a more reliable and environmentally friendly energy supply.
On Tuesday, July 27th, 2021, the Antigua Power Company Maintenance and Operations Limited (APCMOL), Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA), and Eagle LNG came together to officially launch the first LNG Fuel Terminal Project in the region, and we are proud to have been a part of it.

On August 22nd, our Antigua Terminal successfully received a shipment of 800 slings containing 94lb cement bags from Colombia. The offloading process, which spanned approximately two days, was carried out with dedication and efficiency by our terminal operators.
The slings were carefully offloaded onto the dock, and our operators swiftly transported them into our storage facility. Throughout the entire operation, safety remained our top priority. Thanks to the diligent efforts of our employees, the entire process was completed without any accidents or incidents. All personnel on the dock were equipped with life vests and other necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
