Not even a full week into 2021 and we are already starting the year strong with achievements. Our Chesapeake and Meridian terminals both received their Wildlife Habitat Council Certification on Wednesday.
Our Chesapeake Terminal was recognized for their avian project that focuses on their Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) population. Likewise, our Meridian terminal was recognized for both their avian project surrounding the nest boxes they have for Bluebirds on the property, as well as for their Bat project.
These three projects will be recognized at the upcoming 2021 Conservation Conference, June 8-9 in Baltimore, Maryland. Here we will receive a certificate of recognition for these great accomplishments and because of our certification; we are eligible to receive some of the many 2021 WHC Awards that will be presented at the conference. Congratulations Chesapeake and Meridian teams on this great achievement!
