Our Harleyville Cement Plant Sponsors “Swing for the ARK” Golf Tournament
The Harleyville Cement Plant team returned to sponsor and help coordinate this year’s charity golf fundraiser for The Ark of Harleyville, a satellite program of the Ark of South Carolina. Together, the team hosted nearly 100 golfers from across various counties and raised $11,000 for programs to assist families living with Alzheimer’s and Related Dementia (ADRD). “It was a great pleasure for the Argos Harleyville Cement Plant to support this golf tournament again this year,” said Vince Martin, safety, environmental, and public affairs manager for Harleyville. “This was one of the largest tournaments we’ve ever sponsored, with over 90 golfers participating, and everyone had a fantastic time. We look forward to supporting this golf tournament again in 2024!”
Tampa Cement Facility Sponsors Environmental Restoration Projects
The Tampa Cement Facility has renewed its sponsorship of Tampa Bay Watch for the seventh consecutive year, supporting initiatives focused on Tampa Bay watershed preservation, community-driven restoration projects, educational programs, and outreach efforts. This partnership facilitates environmental engagement for citizen volunteers, students, at-risk youth, and civic organizations while raising awareness about the environment. In the past year, with sponsors like Argos, Tampa Bay Watch achieved significant milestones for its 30th-anniversary celebration, such as recycling oyster shells, planting native plants, installing reef balls, and collecting debris to enhance local wildlife habitats. Argos remains committed to the community and environmental stewardship as it continues to call Tampa home for its Ready-Mix and Cement operations, eagerly anticipating further progress with Tampa Bay Watch.
