Nanette “Netty” Sheffield and Byron Velasquez, are two of our Florida District team members. Netty is the TSM for Southwest Florida and Byron is the Florida Technical Services Engineer. They are constantly working to help deliver outstanding solutions to our customers. For the past year, they have been assisting Frederick Derr, one of our customers in Sarasota, Florida. Frederick Derr was using our Type 1 Gray Bulk Product on all their previous projects. Netty and Byron strongly recommended our sustainable PLC (Portland Limestone Cement) product for their Sarasota National project, Del Webb project in Lakewood Ranch and West Villages project in North Port FL. Frederick Derr has been satisfied with the performance of our PLC cement and will continue using this sustainable product.
Not only are Netty and Byron helping Argos provide their customer with outstanding solutions and service, but they are also helping to fulfill Argos’ promise as a member of the GCCA (Global Cement and Concrete Association).
One of our goals in the GCCA is to reduce Carbon Dioxide emissions. PLC / 1L is the easiest and fastest way to reduce at least 10% of carbon footprint during cement production. This cement has equivalent performance to OPC (Original Portland Cement), however, with 10% less clinker, which translates into a reduction of CO2 emissions into the environment.
In an effort to continue providing their customer with outstanding service, Netty and Byron made sure to visit Frederick Derr Sarasota National project to ensure that everything was to their satisfaction and were able to provide us with these wonderful pictures of Argos’ outstanding solutions at work.
