Magen’s Junction Apartments is a modern and sustainable community consisting of two sets of buildings. Phase one of the project features 48 affordable and hurricane-hardened apartments. Development funding was generated through the allocation of Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credits by the Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority. Twenty-four families displaced from the damaged Tutu housing community are being relocated to the property.
Phase two features 60 1- & 2-bedroom units, a fitness center, a common area, computer lab and trash chute on each floor. This project is developed by Jackson Development Company, LLC. and funded in part by $3.5M of Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery and $34.5M of Low-income Housing Tax Credits, both administered by VIHFA.
Both buildings were constructed using Argos cement through our ready-mix clients, Heavy Materials and Ortalis Concrete.
