During the first quarter, Our CI team has continued to work hard to improve Argos’ day to day operations. The team’s efforts continue to gain momentum across Ready-mix, Cement and back office operations.
Already this year the team has been able to achieve several exciting accomplishments including:
Receiving Process Automations:
- Digital ticket receiving process is continuing to gain adoption and stands at 71% of the total tickets received
- Improvements are currently being deployed on manual receipt SAP transactions to increase standardization
RMX Month end inventory improvements:
- Training completed for all in-scope RMX locations in the new MB5B inventory worksheet that facilitates and optimizes the month-end inventory adjustment process.
- For the month of April, all the in-scope locations will run the new process.
Driver Scheduling Optimizations:
- A analytics-based scheduling and optimization solution has been developed working with select Atlanta market dispatchers
- We are currently piloting and testing the capabilities prior to implementation across RMX sites.
E-Truck Roll-out:
- Already addend in RDU Pre and Post inspection (DVIR) to the functionalities of turn-by-turn navigation, Auto-status capture in Command, GPS tracking and Radio
- All set up to start before end of April with Pre and Post inspection (DVIR) in JAX.
- Integration with Kronos in progress expected to be finish and in testing mode by mid May.
CPQ Improvements:
- Discovery work shops completed for CPQ process and 10+ major improvements were identified.
- We have engaged with a CPQ vendor to begin execution of improvements to the tool which will benefit the Sales team.
The Continuous Improvement team are gearing up to kick-off a new project – Cement Set Aside Improvement at the end of April. We ensure to keep you up to date on this new project.
