Our team in Sarasota, Florida, is working with Voller Construction and Rydom Construction to help preserve an important piece of the city’s history with the construction of The DeMarcay. This project, under the expert direction of GK Development, seeks to breathe new life into the historic DeMarcay hotel by preserving its original structure while including new modern elements.

Since the inception of this condominium project, the intention of GK Real Estate, the developers of the project, was to preserve as much as possible of the former cigar factory and hotel that once sat on the site. A portion of The DeMarcay’s lobby will utilize the original tin tiles on the ceiling. The original interior doors will be used as decorative wall installations in the common halls, among other elements that will honor the site’s unique Sarasota history.

For our part, we are supplying 11,000 CY of concrete for the project.  The final product is a stunning 18-story condominium that houses 30 private residences and serves as a testament to Sarasota’s history.
