In line with the commitment to contribute to the sustainable development of Santa Marta and the region, we increased our concrete production capacity in the city by 20%.

To achieve this, we are making adjustments to our plant to respond to the growing demand in the city, including the installation of an additional hopper, a distributor and a conveyor belt, with which we will be able to dispatch concrete more efficiently and productively. 

“The decision to increase production capacity in our plant responds to what the market in the area suggests; we have seen a growth in demand for products, largely thanks to the development of the housing and infrastructure sector in Santa Marta. This increase in concrete production capacity will generate positive impacts on the local economy and opportunities for our customers and local suppliers. Without a doubt, this allows us to remain one of the main strategic allies of development in the city," said William Nassar, manager of Argos in the Northern Zone.

Currently, Cementos Argos reaches nearly 900 municipalities in Colombia, where it not only contributes to sustainable development through construction and infrastructure projects, but also through the generation of direct and indirect formal employment in each region. In this way, with the expansion of production at its Santa Marta plant, the company ratifies its commitment to the development of this city and its inhabitants.
