March 4, 2021, the Atlanta Plant had two visitors. These two visitors had escaped from a minimum-security holding area and were part of a group to help control Kudzu in an area just outside the plant.  When the individuals in charge of keeping these visitors within their confines showed up at the plant, they decided to let them free and not stress them.  You see, the visitors were two female goats, yes, goats.

We observed them for a few days and noticed they started eating our Kudzu and other non-desirable vegetation.  It was decided we would just let them stay on-site as long as they wanted. It did not take long before the employees warmed up to the goats. Eventually, they were named “Thelma & Louise.”  While the goats are used to the wild and skittish, we have a few employees feed them right out of their hands. The whole experience has been unique. The goats have a safe haven to graze on, and the plant gets the benefits of environmental Kudzu control, and the employees get to bond with Thelma & Louise.
