Cement is the building block of our world, cities, communities, and homes. We play a role in most people’s lives in the world on a day-to-day basis and have an opportunity to make positive impacts on our communities. Argos’ strengths in talent, quality, efficiency, supply chain, asset network, sustainability and branding will allow us to continue changing the industry for the future. Together we can utilize our knowledge to grow with our clients, expand our capacity, make the most of our imports, grow our use and sale of SCMs, and become more sustainable through more alternative fuels and renewable energy.

Camilo Restrepo is excited to be beginning his new role as President of the USA’s Cement operations. He has been with Argos for 17 years, starting his career in the Cement business as a Cement Engineer and later having various positions in Operations, Environmental and Innovation. He brings over 6 years of experience as head of the CCA Region, where he led a team of more than 900 employees operating in 10+ countries on cement and with some RMX operations. 

  During his tenure in this job, he led the organic and inorganic growth strategy for the region, including:

• Entering new markets through acquisitions and joint ventures.
• Navigating challenging and changing market conditions.
• Transforming business models and launching new products
• Driving team and business performance while enjoying work and life to its fullest!

With over 41 years of experience in the concrete and aggregate industries, Rick brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role as President of Argos USA Ready-Mix. Over the past 8 years with Argos, he has worked to optimize our operations across our footprint.

Rick is already working towards several changes in his new role, including updating and replacing our fleet of concrete mixers and placing Argos on a continued success and growth path. He and his team are continuously working in order to improve our Ready-Mix processes and simplify day-to-day operations for our drivers and operations teams.

Over the past several years, Rick has enjoyed watching Argos take on major projects, including:

• The Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA
• The I-4 Project running through Orlando, FL
• Project Bullseye in Houston, TX
