Nicole started her career at Argos Suriname in 2017 and works as a Finance Director in the Finance department.
What do you like most about your job and what do you find challenging?
The nice thing about the job is the people. Everyone comes to the office to give their best and that motivates and makes me happy to come to the office. Technically, I like that I can translate the figures into the operational, so that I can focus on aligning the business and financial strategy.
Finally, I experience the use and development of financial leadership to influence the future direction of the company in order to present a profitable result in the financial statements, again a nice challenge.
What are your hobbies and what sport do you practice?
“I have practiced various hobbies and sports. However, I have noticed that there are 3 that I always come back to and they are chess, badminton and playing guitar. In my youth I even participated in chess tournaments at national level and won 2nd place twice and best lady cup both times. I also participated in club tournaments for badminton, where I won several medals and once in Suriname International, where neighboring countries participate. What I am most proud of is the gold medal for the women’s double segment.”
