We are excited to announce that we have received another Wildlife Habitat Council (WHC) certification! This new WHC certification recognizes our Savannah Cement Terminal for its dedication and efforts in establishing a thriving ecosystem.

The Savannah Terminal site includes an open grass field and trees dedicated to serving as a thriving ecosystem for all of South Georgia’s native species. By providing shelters and roosts, the terminal has become home to a large bird population. Our team works with environmental organizations to monitor this population to ensure they are fit and healthy, as well as gather important information about their habits and role within the ecosystem.

To be certified by the Wildlife Habitat Certification, our operations had to demonstrate that they have a meaningful wildlife habitat management and conservation education program. The certification is a two-year certification in which our team must continue monitoring and meeting objectives to maintain it.
