Construction is well underway for a new amphitheater in the heart of Macon, Georgia. This new development will house up to a 10,000-person audience and will be outfitted with a 60-deep by 72-foot-wide performance stage. 

In addition to 7,350 CY of our standard product, we supplied 650 CY of our specialty ConcreFlow® mix for this project. This product is a highly flowable, non-segregating concrete mix designed to fill formwork and encapsulate congested areas reinforced with rebar. In addition to being extremely efficient for pours, this concrete is also effective for sound barrier walls and will help regulate the amphitheater’s acoustics. 

This construction project is part of a more significant improvement effort in and around the Macon Mall. In September, city officials announced that the owners, Hull Property Group, would donate the Mall to the local government. This area will undergo a major redevelopment plan that would, expand its current retail markets while attracting new restaurants, relocate government offices to vacant spaces, and include new sporting activities, such as a large indoor pickleball center.
