The Portland Cement Association (PCA) honored our Newberry Cement facility with the Chairman’s Performance in Safety Award. This award is given to cement plants that have maintained an exemplary safety record with no reportable injuries or illnesses throughout the year. In 2023, only nine plants in the United States and its territories achieved this remarkable feat, accounting for 10% of all active cement facilities.

Ensuring the health and safety of our dedicated team members has always been a top priority for our organization. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication of the teams responsible for operating these plants and serves as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when safety takes precedence in all our activities.
