Reduce and Reuse:
Concrete testing cylinders are an important step in ensuring the quality of products. After they have been thoroughly tested, the question becomes what to do with them. Rather than discarding them, our Atlanta team collects and donates them to a local organization that helps create beautiful landscaping using our recycled Cylinders. Our Atlanta team has made donations of testing cylinders multiple times, often most donations consist of more than 100 cylinders at a time. Their most recent donation was to a local organization which they used to highlight the beauty of a community garden.
What a great and easy way to reuse materials to create a beautiful community space.
Safety:
Continuous safety training and revaluation are both important tools to ensure everyone stays safe during our operations. In Atlanta, our safety team has just finished recertifying all of our driver trainers and captains. Each went through a comprehensive vetting process to ensure that they were up to date with all of our safety
Projects:
Our Atlanta team has been busy working on several new and exciting projects, including expanding the Atlanta beltline. Our team has completed multiple phases of this fantastic project for the past several years. Including the most recent additions to the Westside Trail, making every effort to ensure a truly remarkable final product and something the Atlanta community can utilize and be proud of for years to come.
Community:
Our Argos Atlanta Cement Plant & Ready Mix plant in Smyrna, Georgia, were able to come together and donate and help build a 12’X16′ concrete slab that will serve as a patio area for The Collins Food Pantry. This new patio area will be used to create a Garden Market that will help provide fresh vegetables and fruits for the Atlanta Community!
