José Aquino, Terminal Manager of Saint Maarten, was the first Argos employee who receives the COVID-19 vaccine in The Antilles.

Rowan Winston, Office Assistant in Saint Maarten, tell us more about this great news trough an interview with Jose.

Interview:

Rowann: I would like to ask you a few questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. What made you decide to take the vaccine?

Jose: I think it is important to be part of the solution doing my part getting the vaccine and also been an example to my family and colleagues who are hesitant to take the shot.

Rowann: How was the process?

Jose: The process was straightforward, fill up a form answering simple questions to make sure that you had no previous reaction to vaccines, wait for your turn, take the shot and wait 15 minutes in observation.

Rowann: Did it hurt?

Jose: It is the same as taking any shot. The needle was small, it is not like you may see on certain videos.

Rowann: Would you recommend that others take the vaccine?

Jose: Yes, especially if you have any of the underlying condition that puts you at risk of ending up at the hospital in case that you get the virus.

Rowann: Are you experiencing any side effects?

Jose: The only symptoms that I experience so far are a bit of pain where the injection was administered (same as other vaccines) and it feels a bit like when you are going to get the flu.

Rowann: This is your first shot, when are you schedule to take the next one?

Jose: Yes, Will be in the next three weeks.
