Three new batting cages are already changing the game at Sint Maarten’s John Cooper Ballpark. At Argos Antilles, we’re proud to contribute to this upgrade, benefiting nearly 300 spectators and fueling the training and passion for local baseball.
In collaboration with NSI/DOS, this project kicked off with the clearing of the adjacent land, made possible by the support of the Infrastructure Department from the Ministry of VROMI. Now, the groundwork is in full swing.
The first phase focuses on building a sturdy substructure, starting with a compacted and reinforced base course layer, complemented by curb stones. The design incorporates a slight slope to ensure efficient drainage.
Once the sub-base is complete, the installation will move forward with recycled turf and the framing for the netting, bringing the batting cages to life. Stay tuned for more updates as we enhance the ballpark for players and fans alike!
