After finishing phase one of improvements to our Houston Cement terminal in 2022, we are excited to begin phase two with a new cement storage dome.

In March, we began construction with a mat pour for the foundation and base of the facility. Our developers inflated an air cell, which will act as a support structure to achieve the necessary shape for the facility. Teams will soon begin coating the structure by spraying our shotcrete product through a high-velocity hose. They are in the process of applying the 1st layer with fiber. The 1st layer is the only layer where fibers will be utilized in the construction process, building the facility’s walls one layer at a time.
