At Argos, we believe that building goes far beyond structures — it’s about opening paths, unlocking talent, and strengthening communities. That’s why we’re proud to be part of a project that brings this purpose.

In partnership with the National Sports Institute (NSI) and with the support of the Department of Sports of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports (ECYS), we celebrated the opening of two new batting cages at the John Cooper Jose Lake Ballpark in Sint Maarten.

These facilities were developed as a direct response to the needs expressed by the local baseball and softball community. Each cage is 70 feet long and designed to offer athletes a realistic, professional space where they can train, grow, and shine. They feature lighting for nighttime sessions and recycled artificial turf as flooring — reaffirming our commitment to both sustainability and functionality.

The project was led by NSI, and as a strategic partner in this public-private collaboration, we’re proud to be part of an initiative that aligns with our purpose: to build a more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive society.

“This project isn’t just about a baseball facility; it’s about investing in youth, in the community, and in dreams. Initiatives like this fully align with our corporate purpose. Let’s continue creating spaces where hope flourishes, families come together, and talent thrives.” Samuel Arango, General Manager of Argos Antilles.

The inauguration also included a special tour with representatives from the St. Maarten United Softball Association (SUSA), one of the main beneficiaries of the project.
