Once again, we join the Concrete in Life photography contest, now in its fifth year. This contest, organized and led by the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA), aims to highlight the sustainability, beauty, and importance of concrete in everyday life.
This new edition retains the four traditional categories that have been considered in previous years:
- #UrbanConcrete
- #ConcreteInfrastructure
- #ConcreteInDailyLife
- #ConcreteBeautyAndDesign
How can you participate?
It’s simple! Take a photo in which the concrete is the main character and the inspiration. You must upload it to Instagram before November 15th (remember to make your profile public), you can also upload it to X (formerly Twitter). Include the following information:
- Use the #ConcreteInLife2023 contest hashtag.
- You can upload as many photos as you want, but each photo can only be considered for one category.
- You must follow the official contest account @concreteinlife on Instagram.
We invite you to participate by keeping in mind the following key details for #ConcreteInLife2023:
- The deadline to publish your photographs is November 15th, 2023.
- This contest is open to everyone: professionals, amateurs or anyone with a smartphone. This means that everyone can participate and showcase their best photos!
- The top prize for this edition will be USD $10,000.
- This year, in commemoration of the fifth anniversary, a new category of election by popular vote is being introduced. The winner in this new category will receive a prize of USD $5,000. Winners in the traditional categories will receive USD $2,500.
- There will be no distinction between amateur and professional participants.
- The winners will be announced in 2024.
The past edition of the contest attracted more than 14,000 entries from around the world and the overall winner took home USD $10,000 with a photograph of a skateboard park in the United Arab Emirates:
