Argos continues to provide outstanding solutions in central Georgia. Our Macon plant is working on completing the Atlantic Mills Water Storage Facility Project in Macon, GA. This project consists of a 3.1 million gallon overhead concrete water storage facility for the Macon Water Authority. Currently, this job is around 75 percent complete.

While it may not be the most extensive project, it is one that has been unusual in terms of mixed designs and placements. This project has included a 600 CY Mass Concrete Mat Foundation placement and numerous continuous lift wall pours. The structure required a unique mix blend to support not only the structure but also 3.1 million gallons of water.

This project will be a great new addition to the city of Macon. The MWA (Macon Water Authority) Water Distribution System has approximately 1,425 miles of water mains and service lines serving approximately 51,000 metered accounts or 155,000 customers.

Our Plant Operations, drivers, and particularly our QA Technician (Mitchell Helms) have done a tremendous job working with our customers South Concrete Constructors and CB&I Construction, to help provide outstanding solutions for the city of Macon.
