We find ourselves becoming more vulnerable to computer attackers who are constantly looking for flaws and weaknesses in our security systems. Therefore, a double authentication factor has been implemented through email and the internet access from networks outside Argos, with the purpose of continuing to protect the security of our information.
Authentication is only required once we connect to the internet. This does not apply in the case that we are connected to some type of VPN connection.
What benefits does a double-factor authentication offer?
- It’s much more secure than passwords.
- Many attacks that have been made public this last year wouldn’t have happened if this system had been implemented.
- It ensures that attackers do not easily access programs as it offers an extra layer of protection.
- With this system if an attacker gets our credentials, they will not be able to access our programs since we have the control to prevent it.
